Stranger Things 2 Review

After neglecting all of my responsibilities, I can confidently say that binge-watching Stranger Things season 2 was worth it.

Stranger Things 2 is a Netflix original series with a total of 9 episodes. The show’s genre is science-fiction horror, and it takes place in the 80’s.

Stranger Things 2 had some really big shoes to fill considering how much of a success the first season was. After all, you can imagine the directors’, The Duffer Brothers, stress about trying to live up to the expectations of the viewers and the critics high expectations. The show was nominated and won multiple awards such as the MTV and Emmy Awards. The Duffer Brothers, as well as everyone else involved, managed to make the viewers happy.

Although the show has so many great reviews, most people feel like while it was still a good season, it could never be as great of a success as season 1.

Season 1 focused a lot more in building relationships between characters and the background around what was going on in Hawkins Lab. Season 2 centered more around the conflict the characters had to face and how they tried to fix it.

In a lot of ways Stranger Things 2 is a lot like the first season, only the situations the characters face are 10 times worse. I feel like season two was also a lot heavier and intense. So if you thought that defeating the demogorgon was hard in season one, wait until you see what the directors of the show have in store for you now.

Season 2 leaves the audience with a happy ending and only one tragedy. But once you really get to thinking, you realize all of the loose threads they left untied, such as a side story that happened with the popular character, Eleven.

Personally, the second season captured my attention more because the situations in the show always kept me on the edge of my seat, and I was always intrigued by the story line, something that didn’t always happen when it came to the first season.

The show also put me through a whirlwind of emotions as characters reunited, left, moved on and more.

Considering all of the factors put into the show I’d have to give Stranger Things 2 a very strong 9/10. The reason that it does not get the perfect 10/10 was because I felt like sometimes the Duffer Brothers added things  that I felt were unnecessary.
