Last Minute Changes
It’s the end of the school year, and the pressure is on as students rush to the finish line. There’s only a week left and teachers are handing out last minute projects and reviews while students either crack under the pressure or step up to the challenge. However, some students still have one more problem, schedule changes.
During our yearly conferences, you chose your electives and classes for the school year, however, some of you weren’t so sure of what you chose, well guess what? It’s not too late to change it! The process is simple and easy, well at least for you.
- Go to the counselors’ office: If you wait to change your schedule next school year, the counselors’ can refuse to change something. In the beginning of the school year, counselors refuse to change any electives even if you don’t like them or decide to change it to another one.
- Sign in: You are not the only student on this campus, chances are they’ll be busy when you visit them, especially since it’s the end of the school year. If you sign into the counselor’s office the second you walk in and later on the bell rings, don’t sweat it. They’ll make sure to correct your attendance record to show that you were in the office.
- Address the problem: Tell your counselor about what changes you’ll like to make for the next school year, and please don’t enter if you’re still indecisive. Remember that you’re not the only student on campus, so don’t waste their time unless you’re sure of what you want to change.
- Sign out: The problem is solved, so now you have to sign out or else they won’t know what class you visited.
Remember that finals start this week, so please finish strong, and make sure all responsibilities are taken care of. I know school is stressful and by this time you feel like giving up or maybe you have, but there’s only a few days left and then we’re free. Grades can still change so do your best. Good luck!
