The week we’ve all been waiting for has come to an end. With that being said, a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to get an inside scoop on what students will be wearing as they take on the “Night of Nights.” Here are the fashion results/trends of Prom 2024!
Beginning the night, think classic Hollywood with a twist—sequins, bold colors, and beautiful low lighting to accentuate the decor. As I walked in, I felt like I entered the scene in all of those coming-of-age movies. It’s surreal to comprehend that our movie moment happened, but it didn’t disappoint. If I could sum up the fashion, it was all about vintage glam meets modern chic.
As for the guys, it was a mix of sleek black-tie vibes with some daring to-rock velvet blazers in jewel tones. The ones with dates matched in color with their ties, and my personal favorite, they would match their boutonniere with a flower that the girl had in her bouquet. If they didn’t have dates, most just wore the classic white and black/all-black.
What really made this year’s prom epic was the energy. Everyone was just so hyped to get out there and dance the night away. After all the slow songs, group selfies, and laughter, it’s safe to say memories were made that’ll last way beyond high school. Can’t wait to see what next year’s prom has in store as a LCHS alumni.
