Unlocking Key Club

A key? Key Club?

A key? Key Club?

Key Club, despite the name, is not a club about keys. On the contrary, there is far more than meets the eye.
“Key Club is an international student-led organization providing its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership,” Key Club sponsor Isaac Millstein said.

The club specializes in volunteering and making a difference in the community and is primarily student driven.

“The club is entirely student run,” Millstein said. “Many students have taken on responsibilities that they haven’t done before. There is a genuine passion among Key Club members to make a difference and it has been rewarding watching them work out how to get things done.”

The students have been working hard all year round for the first year of the clubs existence at Langham.

“So far I’ve participated in donating gifts for small goody bags that we are going to give to the homeless by the end of this year,” Key Club member Stephanie Lee said. “Mostly we are a part of drives, donating blankets, donating clothes and things like that.”

In the end, this year has been a rewarding for both the students and the community.

“In my opinion, Key Club is one of the greatest clubs to join because it is both a national and local organization,” Lee said. “It has benefited me by improving both my leadership and my understanding of the community. Key Club is great and you should join.”
