Last time to Interact
Flower leis everywhere, hot sand on your toes, and a coconut on your hand. Is this Hawaii? Not exactly. Interact had a Hawaiian themed banquet on May 12.
“I personally love our end of the year banquets. It’s a fun way to relax after a long school year and to have a fun while connecting with our fellow interact members” Gina Vo said.
The banquet is was held in order for the students to have some time to relax with close friends and celebrate their hard work and achievements of the year.
“This is different and I think it’ll be a fun time with my friends” Galilea Uriegas said.
It’s like any other banquet we have here at school except with a twist. Students could dress in a formal attire, but they could also come dressed up with the Hawaiian theme. There was still dancing and fun activities to do with others who attended.
“Last years banquet was very small since, not a lot of people knew about it. However it was a very close, heartwarming banquet.” Vo said.
The club also reminisced on their past volunteer work and looked at pictures of all the things they’ve done for this past year. This school year’s officers shared some sentimental moments with the club and next year’s officers were announced.
“The people who volunteer a lot of their time deserve it,” freshman Claudia Castillo said.
There was food catered by Chick-fil-a and Carino’s. The banquet was held in room 2109 from 4:30 to 7.
