At just 13 years old, Americas Got Talent winner, Grace VanderWaal has released her debut album. Called Just The Beginning, the album features her very successful 1st single Moonlight.  

The young artist was recently named one of Billboards 21 stars under 21 for the second time and was recognized in Variety Youth Impact Report. She has performed everywhere from  The Ellen Degeneres Show  to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Throughout all the success, her main focus is making meaningful music for her fans. “The songs I write are based on my life experiences,” VanderWaal says. “I channel whatever feelings I have into my lyrics, and if I feel in my heart that a song is right, then it’s right,” says VanderWaal of her songwriting craft. “My favorite part of it all is performing and seeing how my fans react to my music.  I love being able to sing something I’ve created.”

There is a wonderful minimalism to her style, the album focuses on her outstanding vocals and meaningful lyrics. VanderWaal is currently performing around the U.S in her headlining tour. I give the album 8/10.
