Congratulations class of 2018!
Graduation is approaching quickly and our beloved class of 2018 is going off to college. Each and every senior will be missed. Though our seniors’ leaving is sad, they have accomplished so many great things this year.
“This year I’ve enjoyed applying for colleges and even going to orientation at my college; it was super fun,” senior Kate Bloom said. “ I’ve also been looking forward to character day ever since I began attending Langham.”
Many seniors have what we call ‘senior-itis’, however, the senior class of over 800 students are continuing to strive everyday. A lot of memories have been made in the past four years, and hopefully these memories are something good the seniors can take to college with them.
“My favorite memory from senior year is when the entire school was at the pep rally last semester and our mascot started dancing with Jansen Stehle while he was performing Your Man by Josh Turner,” senior Devan Davis said.
With only 7 days of school remaining, the countdown until graduation begins. There are only a few more hurdles the class of 2018 must face such as finals, AP Exams, and college admission. Congratulations to all the seniors graduating.
“Honestly, it feels great to be going to college, I’m ready to graduate,” senior Grant Finkey said. “For those still in high school, the advice I have for you is to do your work, and turn it in on time. Some assignments will be challenging, but just get it done and you should be fine.”
College is an opportunity not all people have access to, but if given the opportunity to go, it’s simply another major milestone. Graduation is also a crucial part in growing up, and at Langham, one has a family. From this family an individual will learn so many things and how to impliment it into their lives moving forward.
“Langham has taught me how to interact, and respect other people,” senior Connor Yeang said. “I think I’ve grown to be more accepting and that has helped me to better understand others. However, the one thing I will take with me to college from Langham is time management.”
As aforementioned, not only are planned lessons taught at Langham Creek, but lessons for the future as well.
“I believe I’m prepared for college,” Finkey said. “ Throughout these four years my teachers have done what they needed to prepare me such as being tough on turning in work, giving assignments that aren’t easy, and having a college-like class structure.”
Graduation is at 8 o’clock on Thursday, the 31st of May at the Berry Center. Congratulations for making it through these four rigorous years, and good luck to the senior class of 2018 as you further your education and venture off into the real world. You will be missed.
