For the past couple of weeks, students could enter a drawing to win two tickets for the Houston Astros. Freshman Lauren Janda was the lucky student to win the contest.

      Janda won two tickets for this Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Indians.

     “I’ve always been a fan since I was little. I don’t watch all the games but most of them and have been to a few,” Janda said.

      Lauren Janda had generous teachers, who frequently handed out Lobucks, which gave her the opportunity to enter with 20+ Lobucks.

     “This is the only time I have entered in something,” Janda said.

     She found out that she won the ticket on Monday when her teacher sent her a message on Remind and it was announced to the school the following day through the announcements. She knew some other people in her grade entered the drawing and didn’t expect to win.

     “I was just like really happy and excited to win something finally and to just go to the Astros game cause I normally don’t go,” Janda said.

     Janda will be taking her father, an Astros fan as well, to the game.
