Chicken Sandwich Chaos
Popeye’s has finally returned their chicken sandwich just months after its original release due to its incredibly high demand of people trying to get their hands on their trending chicken craze sandwich that’s often compared to Chick-Fil-A’s, which since 1964 has been home to the original chicken sandwich. But will the sandwich finally make its way to a new home? It’s about time to decide who truly has the better chicken sandwich.
Chick-Fil-A has always been my go-to-restaurant, with their sandwiches always being my go-to-meal.The juiciness and tenderness of their chicken that comes with a variety of sauces always leaves you wanting more, but with the removal of the overly sour pickles that is. Personally, I am a huge fan of pickles but not when they overpower the flavor of the whole sandwich and ruin the whole thing by making the bread soggy if you don’t eat it fast enough; but nonetheless, Chick-Fil-A has served some pretty good sandwiches for many decades and will hopefully continue for many more.
When Popeye’s released their chicken sandwich, you would think it would be an exact clone of Chick-Fil-A’s because it’s just that good, but you’d be surprised. The chicken itself is much bigger in size compared to Chick-Fil-A. The crispy chicken that is topped with your choice of regular or spicy mayo, along with a toasted buttery bun, with their pickles that burst with flavor unlike its predecessor, that all comes together into one almost indescribable flavor. This newcomer sandwich is just taking the world by storm by being absolutely to die for, literally, with people fighting, stabbing, and even shooting others just to get their hands on a single Popeye’s chicken sandwich.
It is pretty clear as to which fast food chain has the better sandwich and it is Popeye’s of course. Chick-Fil-A has had a good run and will probably remain strong but as a second choice to Popeye’s, the new deserving home of the chicken sandwich.
