How to Stay Healthy During Quarantine
During this time of isolation and tribulations, it’s easy to forget to partake in self-care activities mentally and physically. Here are 4 things to make your daily quarantine life a bit less miserable.
- Journaling
Journaling is a great way to organize any thoughts you have on your mind from your daily life in quarantine and be able to look back on it in the future. All your inner feelings, whether they’re good or bad can all just be released at once, which can reduce stress that you’ve collected over time.
- Establish a routine
While we don’t have an enforced school schedule anymore, it’s good to create and maintain your own. If you’re not used to having a routine anymore, you can start off small by making sure you go to bed the same time every day or eating lunch at the same time, which is a beginning to self-discipline and a healthy balance.
- Go Outside
Feeling the vitamin D from the sun and the fresh air from the outdoors is so crucial in this time because it gets tiring from constantly seeing the four same walls every day. Try taking the activities you would normally do inside outside to feel less constrained.
- Keep in touch with friends
Even with social distancing in place, there’s still no reason why you shouldn’t reach out to your friends and loved ones. Just a simple “how are you doing?” can make someone’s entire day, maybe even week by making them feel cared for. Also, now is the perfect time to now reach out to people you wouldn’t before and make new friends.
