The multi-talented basketball, football, and track star
Being an athlete is tough, but being a multi-sport athlete is even tougher and though he has struggled, Paul Oyewale has built himself to being one of the best athletes in Texas.
Paul Oyewale is a senior, three year letterman, starting center, starting defensive end.
Oyewale’s name may seem familiar because he’s a beast on the football field, the basketball court, and on the track. He’s currently playing basketball starting at center for the Lobos, but crazy enough, basketball is probably not even his best sport.
On the track Paul gives his all, in the shotput and discus he was one of the best track members that Langham has. In football he’s even more competitive, he played defensive end, and offensive tackle for the Lobos, and he made first team all-district as a defensive end. Right now, he’s currently committed to playing football at TCU.
In basketball he’s doing it all for the Lobos, he’s currently averaging 12.9 points per game and also leading the team in rebounds and blocks per game.
In football he had 56 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks.
In track he had a 49-9 shot put and made regionals.
Despite being committed to playing football for TCU he is currently focused on the basketball season and he really likes his team. “I like how we all bonded this year, everyone seems to enjoy each other’s company,” Oyewale said.
But not only is he a multi-talented athlete, he is also a great leader. “I think right now we are not in the position we want to be in district. Our record does not reflect the talent of this team,” Oyewale said.
Paul is currently focused on the basketball season looking to help the Lobos make the playoffs.
