PAL’s Deadline is Here
One of the biggest stories going on at Langham is the upcoming PALS organization and there are a lot of questions that people want answers to.
“The mission of the Peer Assistance and Leadership (PAL’s) program is to enable young people to use their potential to make a difference in their lives, schools, and communities,” PAL’s teacher Abby Jablonsky said.
When it comes to PAL’s there is so much you can learn that can help you later in your life.
“PAL’s focuses on creating an environment in which high schoolers participate in different settings with other peers, utilizing the skills they have learned, develop cultural competency, effective communication, decision making, and participating in community service inside and outside of school,” PAL’s teacher Cyndel Campbell said.
PAL’s is not only helping little kids, but it can also help you be a better person.
“PAL’s have made me a more patient person, because before I wasn’t really patient and now with helping little kids I’m more patient now than ever so that’s what PAL’s has taught me,” PAL’s member Jaelyn Allen said.
Now though if you want to sign up for pals you have to do it soon because the deadline is coming up and it’s not an easy form to complete.
“The deadline to apply for PAL’s is Friday, February 25th, applications can be picked up from rooms 2509 and PB12. Some aspects of the application include short answer response questions, obtaining your attendance report, and getting your 7 teachers to complete student evaluation forms,” Campbell said.
Ultimately PAL’s could be a great organization for you to join that will help you get into college or just learn basic people skills.
So if you’re interested in PAL’s hurry up because applications are rolling in and the deadline is coming up soon.
