Softball defeats Cy Ranch for Playoff seed
On April 26th the Lobo Softball team defeated Cy Ranch to secure the third seed in the playoffs. This year has been a huge milestone for the ladies as they clinched playoffs for the third consecutive year and had their all-time greatest in season record.
“I would say it is definitely huge for us,” senior captain Miranda Soileau said. “We are going into playoffs looking to play the same way we have all season and not get too anxious or nervous.”
This might be the most talented group Langham softball has ever had with a huge group of players that have stayed connected throughout their softball career.
“We have great team chemistry and have made amazing memories this season,” senior captain Allison Hughes said. “I will cherish the great memories.”
Hughes’ has had a special season leading her team as starting pitcher this year. She plans to attend St. Thomas University as a powerhouse to their roster. On the other hand the future is bright for the Lobos with much young talent.
“I am sad to leave this amazing team behind, but I know they will continue to work hard and make history for our school,” Hughes said.
The Lobos will face Tomball Memorial in a three game series to clinch the first round.
