Java Jive
Java Jive is a show in a coffeehouse setting which anyone could try out. Java Jive will be held April 5th at 6 pm in the commons with a $5 dollar entry fee.
“Java Jive is a really relaxed, really chill event. We’re going to basically convert the commons into a sort of coffeehouse where kids will perform musical acts that they auditioned for,” Choir Director Chris Fiorini said.
“It’s kind of used as a recruiting event because people get to see how fun choir is,” sophomore Lauren Washington said.
This is the second year of Java Jive, but the first year it will be held in the commons to accommodate the large amount of people attending the event. There is expected to be 23 acts ranging from guitar solos, marimba groups, and spoken poetry.
