Senior Advice
As the 2021-2022 school year comes to a close, seniors pass down some words of wisdom to the younger classes.
Luke Germenis – “Don’t wait until the last minute to focus on your grades.”
Jada Costly – “Be cautious.”
Gene Villareal – “Don’t do drugs and focus on your grades.”
Matthew Arrascue – “Have fun.”
Moises Varela- “Take the chances and opportunities you get to go hang out so you don’t miss anything.”
Emilio Rodriguez Moreno- “Take care of your stuff. Do not procrastinate; time management will get you through high school. You can have so much free time and actually enjoy your experiences even more if you take care of your stuff when you get it.”
Angela Hernandez- “Just have fun. Do not worry about what other people think about you, because it’s going to happen every single year, forget about it.”
Zoe Lynn Espinoza- “Never try to change yourself for someone who’s not willing to accept you, and if you do not enjoy something that you’re doing, don’t do it anymore.”
Joy Carter- “Be a part of everything that you can be. Don’t stress about things, they’re going to happen eventually and just have fun.”
Alexa Zavala- “Enjoy the moment. Take the opportunities that are handed to you, don’t be lazy.”
Jayden Lathon- “Don’t try to be too cool. Show some school spirit, have a little fun, you’re only in high school once, so don’t have any regrets.”
Caden Lopez- “Think about your decisions before you make them. Before you go and do something, think about is this going to be positive or negative, is it gonna fault me or make it better.”
Sebastian Lara- “Stop procrastinating, get off your phone, TikTok’s gonna be on there later, you don’t have to be on it 24/7.”
Drake Serpas- “Do all your work, don’t wait until the last minute to turn it in.”
Claudia Chavez- “I would say focus on your GPA and if you can take math over the summer do it, it’ll probably be the best thing you can do.”
Jaicee Webb-“Do everything that you want to do so that you don’t have regrets as a senior.”
Rachel Roman-“If you’re in-college academy take summer classes to add credits to your diploma.”
Christina Tran- “If your planning to take a lot of college classes then you should take some classes that you enjoy too.”
Maria Pineda Sorto- “If your planning to transfer within state and you know your school accepts DC credits, take as many as you can to save money.”
Victoria Duran- “Take all the hard classes now to get them out of the way and have easier classes later on.”
Derick Martinez- “My advice is to not settle for safe but strive for excellence.”
Gustavo Casillas- “ Keep your circle small and be careful who you trust. The bigger the circle the more you gotta worry about who is the real one.”

Lauren Hudson- “Enjoy it, time goes by fast in high school, even when some days are bad try to see the good.”
Madilyn Murray- “Have fun, do things you wanted to do all of high school and now we have a month left.”
Emma Turquette- “You don’t need a ton of friends to feel worthy, if you have problems with someone just move on because you’re never gonna see them again after high school. Just be yourself and do whatever makes you happy.”
Nicolette Beason- “Enjoy it, it goes a lot faster than you think and I know like everyone says that, but it does, like I was like a freshman two days ago and now I’m graduating.”
Chole Cash- “There’s freedom in not needing to know the answers as long as you know what matters most.”
Brianna White- “Don’t block the hallways, other people actually have classes that they want to get to in time. Just because you’re new doesn’t mean you have all the time in the world. Start making good habits now so that your senior year is a breeze.”
