Fall Pep Rally

Fall+Pep+Rally

The Lobos are back and better than ever with the introduction of fall sports for the 2022-2023 school year. On Wednesday, September 21, the first in-school pep rally of the year was held in the performance gym during seventh period.

“I think pep rallies at Langham are fun because our student body likes to have fun, so when we’re having fun, they have fun and that energy helps us,” junior Kassidy Johnson said.

The Bailadoras prepared for and looked forward to the pep rally.

“I really like when the drumline plays; that’s my favorite part of the pep rally,” Johnson said. “We do our stand routines on the floor, and I think it’s fun.”

Langham’s dance team is known for being devoted to their team and passion.

“It’s exciting,” Johnson said. “I really like performing, and it’s cool to have people see what we do besides halftime routines.”

Cheer had also been working hard to get ready for the pep rally.

“It’s a lot of practice, and you go over and over until it’s perfect,” junior Briana Cadena said. “It’s a lot of stress actually, but it’s always worth it.”

This year’s new JV cheerleading captain supports her squad and is there for the cheerleaders for every performance.

“It’s nice to just help the girls out, and we all work together as a team,” Cadena said.

The band has a big role in school pep rallies as well, playing stand tunes for the students.

“Hopefully more people come,” sophomore Cayden Hutcheson said.

Students are anticipating the start of a great fall sports season.

“I’m really excited,” Cadena said. “I wonder how it’s gonna go; I feel like everyone’s gonna be hyped, and that’s really all that matters.”
