Netflix Recommendation

Already binge-watched all your favorite TV-shows? Netflix offers hundreds of movies and shows, and sometimes it’s hard to pick what to watch. Here are a few movie and TV-show recommendations for those moods you can’t explain.

For when you haven’t been outside in days and you know you should probably go out and socialize, but the damage is already done:

  • “Black Mirror”: The new “Twilight Zone” that will stress you out about technological takeovers and the unsettling future.
  • “The OA”:  Prairie Johnson, a young woman who returns home after a 7-year disappearance. Her sudden return is not the only miraculous occurrence: everyone is shocked to learn that Prairie is no longer blind.
  • ‘’Supernatural”: This haunting series follows the thrilling yet terrifying journeys of Sam and Dean Winchester, two brothers who face an increasingly sinister landscape as they hunt monsters.

For when your a hot mess and need to regain your self- worth by watching someone that’s an even hotter mess than you;

  • “Riverdale”: Archie Andrews starts the school year with the world weighing on his shoulders. He’s decided he wants to pursue a future in the music business, but his recently ended clandestine relationship with the music teacher has left him without a mentor.
  • “The Carrie Diaries”:  Carrie is just a Connecticut teenager with a rebellious kid sister and a harried father, struggling to deal with her mother’s death. Languishing in suburban life, Carrie jumps at an opportunity to intern at a Manhattan law firm.

For when your not ready for this “adult stuff” and you need a throwback to simpler times (aka 2000’s Disney Channel):

  • Hannah Montana the Movie: Basically an episode of Hannah Montana but its 1hr and 42m long and she’s in the country instead of Malibu.
  • Cow Belles: Two sisters trying to save their dads dairy company when money goes missing.
  • High School Musical: Do you really need an explanation? its HSM.

For when times are tough and you just need a good laugh:

  • The Do-Over: When two guys fake their owns deaths and assume the identity of two others, they quickly discover that those men are in deep trouble.
  • Ace Ventura Pet Detective: When the dolphin mascot of Miami’s NFL team is abducted, Ace Ventura (Jim Carrey), a zany private investigator who specializes in finding missing animals, looks into the case.
  • The Water boy: Raised by his overprotective mother, Helen, Bobby Boucher Jr. (Adam Sandler) is the water boy for a successful college football team coached by Red Beaulieu.
