The cheer team held a clinic for kids 4 and older on Saturday, Oct. 8th. It was one of the cutest ways to fund-raise for cheer competitions. The cheerleading squad wanted to raise money through the clinic to compete in a competition closer to Langham in hopes that it would be easier for the student body to come and support them. The cheerleaders were really excited to meet the kids while teaching cheers, dances and playing games.

“It was mostly girls that came, but there was one boy. That was my brother. It was so cute watching and teaching all the little kids how to tumble and learn how to cheer.” Tyler Chapa said.

The clinic was also done in order to encourage interest in sports and cheer. An enthusiastic atmosphere was created through the efforts of the cheerleaders and the excited kids who were hyped up about cheer. The kids who participated also got t-shirts for the camp.

“The kids were so positive and happy that they’re able to bring a smile to everyone’s face.” Ceciley Carina said.
