Get Paid for Working Election Day

Looking to make some cash on your day off from school? Well you’re in luck.

November 5, 2019 students aged 16 or older will have the opportunity to work in the Joint General and Special Elections as Electronic Support Specialists.

In order to work, students must attend a training prior to election day for which they will be paid. They also must have filled out and turned in the parent and principal permission form available at www.sos.state.tx.us. and by emailing it to [email protected]

Students will be expected to show up early to assist in setting up the polls, and helping in breakdown after. This is in addition to working from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. while the polls are open meaning each student will earn at minimum $120 for their work in addition to valuable experience.

All students who work during election will be paid $10 an hour, and receive a letter of recommendation from Harris County Clerk Dr. Diane Trautman.
