Are you looking for something fun to do after school or wanting to try something new? Join a school club! There are many new and returning clubs that have exciting things to offer this school year.
One of the clubs that is perfect for students who love history is Rho Kappa.
“We’re an honor society for social studies, and we do a lot of community services,” Rho Kappa Historian Jocelyn Almanza said.
Like Rho Kappa, the National Art Honor Society also provides students with volunteer opportunities while driving a passion for art.
“We promote discovering art and letting kids pursue their interests in art,” National Art Honor Society Vice President Tiffany Le said. “Our goal is to really let everyone interact with each other; we’re letting people volunteer this year more often.”
Another club that benefits the community is Hands for Hope: a club to “help those in need and teach people how to use 3D printers.”
“If you want to try something new, get your hands on something you’ve never done before, and you want to help your community, join Hands for Hope,” Club President Anthony Benavides said.
One of the more relaxed clubs at Langham is the Teens Read Club.
“[The purpose of our club] is to have fun reading and have other people enjoy reading with others,” Teens Read Club President Jocelyn Soriano said. “Even if you barely like to read, you’ll get something out of it [joining].”
