Donald Trumps Inauguration

Donald John Trump was inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States at 12:00pm last Friday.

“I’m really excited especially because he is my commander-in-chief,” senior Army recruit Hunter Daniels said. Daniels plans to  ship out in June.

His taking of the office has been marked with controversy and allegations. So much so, that the day of his inauguration and the day following saw protests across the country and across the globe spanning all seven continents including Antarctica. He has had the lowest approval rating of any recently elected president. The number of people at his inauguration is up for debate but most find it considerably less than the previous president.

“I feel like he is extremely unprofessional I don’t know why people voted for him,” junior Sarah Pinkerton said.

He has already been keeping some of his campaign promises by enacting an executive order withdrawing the U.S. from the controversial trade deal the Trans Pacific Partnership or TPP. He’s also signed an order authorizing the building of a Mexico border wall. These policies were some of his biggest policy proposals. These along with bringing back American factory jobs and coal jobs.

“I think he is the president, so we should support him,” junior Vernesha Hazel said.

But this isn’t the only executive order he has issued since he assumed the office of president. He has allowed renegotiations for the controversial Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines. The controversial pipelines saw large protests over their environmental effect and going over Native American land.
