AFJROTC Military Ball

At the end of each school year, the AFJROTC program participates in the Military Ball.

“It’s an event we have each year to celebrate our achievements, it’s basically our banquet,” junior Michael Welsh said.

It’s a time for the students in the program to look back on the year and participate in both solemn and fun activities.

“We take the time to recognize the prisoners of war and those who went missing in action,” Welsh said. “And then we just eat, say goodbye to the seniors, pass out awards, and dance.”

This ball is also a great way for students to bond and have some fun together.

“It brings us all together and ends the year on a good note,” Welsh said.

The event is formal, and gives students the chance to dress up and look good.

“The guys dress up nice, with ties and dress shirts,” sophomore Joey Welsh said. “Girls have to wear full length dresses.”

All in all, it seems to be a great gathering for AFJROTC students to look forward to.

“There’s some pretty high quality meet we get to eat,” J. Welsh said. “And we get to be recognized for all our hard work and have a little fun.”
